Designed with WCAG 2.2 AA criteria in mind, including landmarks, keyboard controls, visible focus, responsive text, announced totals, reduced-motion and forced-colours support. Formal accessibility review is ongoing, and the atlas has a text equivalent.
Search and filters use labelled controls and announce result totals. Spoiler and watched controls expose their pressed state. Dialogs trap keyboard focus and close with Escape. The location graphic has a text list, while checklists, records and itineraries have print alternatives. Downloads use descriptive file names. These notes describe the present interface; formal user testing remains open.
Tab order follows skip link, header navigation, page controls and content. The skip link moves directly to the main heading; dialogs trap focus and Escape closes them. Press / to open Episodes and focus search. Alt+E opens Episodes, Alt+P opens Places and Alt+R opens Research when focus is not inside a form control.
Low-data mode hides non-essential images while keeping text, links and records available. Low-data and episode spoiler choices are stored only in this browser and can be changed at any time.
